......So how many of you have had a dream? A dream that seemed impossible and improbable because of limitations and barriers. And then you realize that you can do anything that you put your mind to!

That is my story, the story of Skye Bleu, the flying pig. I know, you say, a pig cannot fly. With the right equipment and the great desire to achieve my dream - I can. My flights sometimes require a lot of determination and help from others- but that is another part of my story - nothing worthwhile happens in a vacuum- you should never be afraid to reach out to others to make your dream come true.

I was born in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in the United States and was surrounded by tales of two men doing an impossible thing over 100 years ago - so it seemed only fitting that my dream would start there too.

I am a very fortunate piglet that I have been in the right place at the right time to take advantage of amazing opportunities to share why science, technology, engineering, arts, and math are so important - and when you are in school, you may not realize why. My goal is to help show you the why and give you a window into possibilities that you may never imagine. I count among some of my dearest friends people who failed to achieve their dreams- and kept trying over 14 times and on the 15th- became an astronaut; a woman with drive and passion to share her love of flying with kids all over the world - it didn't come easy - working with other country's rules and funding her dream - and she DID IT!

My story is to continue to show you amazing things - to help teachers answer their students questions about WHY they study science and math, let you see things in development - if you can watch my story and say , " I want to be __________ when I grow up", I will have done my job.

But also, my role is to have FUN! Surround yourself with people you can learn from and have a similar spirit as you. There is a lot to be learned from being silly - some of the best ideas are born from silliness.

Follow along with me and my fellow mascots - I can guarantee that you will learn a lot, you will see things that will make you question and research to learn more, and most importantly, SMILE

Come along on our journey - but plan on packing plenty of never know where the road will lead.
